Spring Comes to the Flatbush Trees

In 2003 Dave Eppley earned an MFA in painting from Mass Art. Since then he has evolved through significant institutions through invitations and commissions. Most recently Dave partnered with the Department of Transportation to renovate and revitalize a prominent plaza in Brooklyn. In 2012 he was invited to make a work for The Kohler Arts Center covering over 4,000 square feet of gallery and atrium space. In 2011 Dave won a School Construction Authority commission for the city of New York to design and fabricate a permanent work for PS 65 in Brooklyn. In 2010 Dave was commissioned by The Bloomberg building for two separate works at their New York headquarters. In 2007 Dave was invited back to the LMCC workspace program and was commissioned a work for The Tang Museum at Skidmore College and in 2008 for the Decordova Museum. Dave has lectured at The Kohler Arts Center, Harvard University, Kenyon College and Mass Art. His work has been reviewed in The Boston Globe, The Harvard Crimson. In 2004 he was included in a group show at Harvard University and invited to make work for The Ritz Carlton Hotel. Later that year he was commissioned to make work for Fidelity Investments’ corporate hub. In 2005 he was offered a space in the LMCC’s Swing Space and again won a spot in The New American Paintings Catalog. In 2007 Dave was invited back to the LMCC workspace program and was commissioned a work for The Tang Museum at Skidmore College and in 2008 for the Decordova Museum.
